Eid open house RSVP

Visitors pick an arrival window, so the house is never empty or packed.

What's inside

Visitors pick a two-hour window from the places left, then give their group size, the children for gift envelopes and any food needs. Visitors who can't come get Eid wishes.

Hosting an Eid open house

Send the link in the last week of Ramadan and update the date once Eid is confirmed in your community. Most people plan their Eid visits in those days.

Windows spread visitors through the day. Each takes 25 visits, so when lunch fills up, the next family picks the afternoon instead of arriving to a full room.

The children count tells you how many envelopes to prepare, whether you call it eidi or duit raya. Nobody is missed at the door.

Hosting iftars earlier in the month? The iftar dinner RSVP gives each evening its own places.

Eid open house questions

Can I use it for Hari Raya or Eid al-Adha?

Yes. Change the title and intro. Open house raya in Malaysia and Indonesia works the same way, and so does an Eid al-Adha lunch. Raya open houses often run over several days, so add a window for each day, such as day two from 12 to 2, and give each one its own limit. For Eid al-Adha, say in the intro if you're sharing qurbani meat, so visitors bring a container.

What if the date isn't confirmed yet?

Write first day of Eid in the intro, as the template does, and send a reminder once the moon is sighted. The windows stay the same. Many communities hear the news only the evening before, so edit the intro with the date right away. The link stays the same after you edit, so families who already replied keep their window.

Does one window close when it is full?

Yes. Each window takes 25 replies, then shows as full and can no longer be picked. Visitors who can't come can always say so. Each reply counts once, whether it's one person or a family of eight, so set the limit by how many groups your rooms can hold. If you expect large families, lower it to 15 and add a later window.
