Workspaces and Your Forms
Where every form you make lives, what each row on the list is telling you, and the things you can do to a form without opening it.
Your workspace
Fillio creates a workspace for you the first time you sign in, called My Forms, and every form you make lands in it. It is the page behind My Forms in the sidebar, and the heading at the top of that page.
The menu beside the name renames it. Type a new name, press Enter, and the sidebar, the page heading and the breadcrumb all follow. The forms inside are untouched.
A form claimed from a link, one an assistant built for you, joins the same workspace the moment you sign in, rather than sitting somewhere separate.
The list
One row per form, most recently edited first, updating live: a form saved in another tab reorders itself here without a refresh.
The form's title block. A form you have not named yet reads Untitled.
How many responses the form has collected, counted on the server rather than by loading them all.
How long ago the form was last saved, written out in words rather than a timestamp.
How many times the public form has been opened. Shown only once it has been opened at least once.
Clicking a row opens that form's summary rather than the editor. Hovering it reveals an Edit button and a second control that opens the live public form in a new tab.
What you can do to a form
The menu at the end of a row carries four actions, none of which need the editor.
Opens the editor on that form.
Puts the form's public address on your clipboard. Copying it publishes nothing and changes nothing.
Asks for a name, pre-filled with the original plus "copy", then makes a full copy (every block, page, setting and theme) with the new name written into its title. The copy opens in the editor and starts out with no responses of its own.
Asks you to confirm, then removes the form. Its public link stops working from that moment and there is no undo.
The sidebar
The same forms hang under the workspace in the left panel, so you can move between them without going back to the list. The chevron folds the workspace shut; the + that appears on hover starts a new form.
Each form there has its own menu with Edit, Copy link and Delete. Duplicate lives on the main list only.
Starting a form
New form, at the top right of the list, opens the one box that asks what the form is for. Describe it and a built form comes back; press Start blank in the same box and you get an empty canvas. Either way it is saved into the workspace you started from.
Duplicate is the closest thing Fillio has to a template. Build the form you keep rebuilding once, then copy it every term, every event, every month.
