Birthday party RSVP

Get yes, maybe or no, a headcount and who brings what, from one link in the group chat.

What's inside

A yes or a maybe asks for a headcount and a number in case plans change; a sure yes can offer drinks, snacks or dessert. Everyone can leave a birthday message.

Getting a real headcount

Send the link two to three weeks before a house party, a little earlier for a venue. Put the time, the address and anything to bring in the intro so the form answers the usual questions before anyone asks.

The maybe option is honest about how people answer party invitations. Count maybes as half when you buy food and drinks, and message them two days before to turn them into a yes or a no.

The bring question spreads the shopping without a group chat thread. Keep it to drinks, snacks and dessert, or rename the options for a potluck menu.

Messages for the guest of honor arrive with the replies. Read them out at the cake, or save them for the next morning.

Birthday RSVP questions

Why ask maybes for a phone number?

Maybes are the people most likely to change plans. A number lets you send the door code, a parking note or a last call without hunting through old messages. The phone field is optional, so a guest who'd rather not share one can still reply. Yes guests leave a number too, which helps if the party moves inside because of rain or you need someone to grab more ice.

Can I hide the maybe option?

Yes. Delete it in your copy, and the headcount and phone questions still open for every yes. Guests who aren't sure will tell you so in the message field instead. Without a maybe, put a reply-by date in the intro, about a week before the party, so undecided guests still give you a firm answer in time to shop.

Is it free to send to everyone?

Yes. Making the form and collecting replies costs nothing, and guests answer without an account. You sign in only to save your form. Send the same link to the group chat, text it to family and forward it to anyone you forgot. Every reply lands in one list, so you never merge answers from three different threads.
