Team tryout registration
Athletes pick a tryout session and positions, and each session caps at what the gym holds.
What's inside
Each tryout session holds 24 athletes and shows what is left; athletes who played on a club or school team list them, and the form closes when both sessions are full.

Running tryouts coaches can plan around
Post the link two weeks before tryouts and close it two days before, so you can print a roster per session with positions next to each name.
Positions as a multi-select let an athlete say outside hitter and setter. Count the replies per position before day one; if you have nine setters and two liberos, plan the drills for it.
The past teams answer is where you find the club players. It also tells you who is new, so an assistant can spend the first ten minutes on footwork with them.
Collect a parent or guardian email for every athlete under 18. That is where you send the roster decision, so nobody hears it first in the hallway.
Tryout registration questions
Can I change it for basketball or soccer?
Yes. Change the position options, for example guard, forward and center, and keep the rest. Session limits and the past teams question work for any sport. Update the gear list in the intro as well, since knee pads suit volleyball and soccer players need shin guards and cleats.
Can I collect the sports physical in the form?
Keep physicals with the school's athletic office. The intro reminds athletes to bring a signed one; checking it at the door takes a minute and keeps medical forms out of a shared list. If the office asks you to collect them, a file upload question can take a photo of the signed physical; agree with the office first who can see those files.
What happens when a session fills up?
It shows as full and athletes choose the other one. Once both reach 24, the form closes and new visitors see that registration has ended. If more athletes still want to try out, add a third session with 24 places and raise the form's response limit from 48 to 72. Post the new time in the same place you shared the link.
