Trivia night registration

Teams sign up with a name and size, so you set out the right number of tables.

What's inside

Small teams of two or three are asked whether they would take a solo player, so you can merge stragglers before the first round. Registration stops at 20 teams.

Running a full quiz night

Share the link a week ahead on the bar's social page and on a table card with a QR code. Teams that register early fill the best tables first.

The captain's phone is the one number you need. When a team is late or the start moves, you text one person instead of six.

The bonus round vote tells you which topic the room wants. Count the votes the night before and write that round last, when attention is highest.

Twenty teams of six is 120 players. If your room holds fewer, lower the limit in the form's settings and the link shows that registration is closed once you reach it.

Trivia registration questions

Can solo players sign up?

Yes, set the minimum team size to 1 in the players question. Teams of two or three already say whether they would take a solo player, so you can seat newcomers with a team when they arrive. Keep a small table near the bar for solo players who would rather play alone.

Can the form score the quiz?

No. The form handles sign-ups; the quiz itself runs on paper or out loud. Hand out answer sheets with each team's name and mark them between rounds. Swap sheets between teams for marking, which saves time and keeps it fair. Read the scores after every two rounds, so teams near the bottom still have a reason to stay.

Can I reuse it every week?

Yes. Duplicate the form for each quiz night, or clear last week's replies after the quiz. Each copy keeps its own team list and limit. Change the bonus round topics each week, so regulars have something new to vote on. Send the new link on Wednesday, the day after the quiz, while last week's teams still talk about it.
