Movie night RSVP
Guests reply and vote on the film, and the winner plays.
What's inside
Guests who say yes give a headcount and vote for the film; the thank-you repeats their vote back to them.

Picking the film together
Pick four films that fit the crowd: one classic, one family film, one animated, one crowd-pleaser. More than four splits the vote.
Close the vote the day before so you can test the film on the projector. Outdoor screenings need full dark, so start 30 minutes after sunset.
The headcount sets the blankets and the popcorn. Plan one bowl for every three guests, and the popcorn vote tells you which flavor to double.
Movie night questions
Can I see which film is winning?
Yes. The responses page counts the votes for each film as they come in. Share the result in the group chat to build a little hype. Votes count once per reply, not per head, so a family of five still casts one vote. If that feels unfair, say so in the intro and weigh the votes by the headcount when you count.
Can I use it for a school or neighborhood screening?
Yes. Raise the guest limit, change the films to ones you have the right to show, and add a closing limit if your space holds a set number of people. Public screenings usually need a license, even when they are free, so arrange one before you share the link. Set the closing limit to count guests by the headcount question, not by replies.
What if the vote ties?
Pick the tiebreak before you send the link, such as the host's choice or a coin toss on the night, and say so in the intro. A runoff works too, with a quick second vote between the two tied films in the group chat. Have both films ready to play, so a tie never delays the start at dusk.
