Which ceremony form, and when
Most ceremonies have two parts with two different guest lists: the service and the meal or party after. The baptism RSVP, the first communion RSVP and the bar or bat mitzvah RSVP count each part on its own, children included.
The vow renewal RSVP asks guests who were at the first wedding what they remember of it, so the renewal comes with stories.
When someone has died, the memorial service RSVP gives the family a reception count and offers of help. The condolence book and the photo collection gather words and pictures from people near and far, and the family keeps all of it.
