Which wedding form, and when
Send the save the date six to eight months out, or earlier for a destination wedding, and collect mailing addresses with it.
The wedding RSVP goes out with the invitations, about eight weeks before the day. The rehearsal dinner RSVP goes only to the wedding party and close family.
Months ahead, the wedding party has its own forms: the bachelorette party RSVP, the bachelor weekend planner and the bridal party sizes form with fitting slots.
For a wedding over several days, the multi-event RSVP counts guests per event. The hotel and shuttle form fills the room block and the buses, and the livestream RSVP includes family who can't travel.
Share song requests a few weeks before, and put the guestbook on the tables as a QR code on the day.
The couple quiz keeps guests busy at cocktail hour. Afterwards, the photo upload collects every guest's pictures, and a honeymoon fund lets guests give a moment of the trip instead of a gift.
Wedding form questions
Should the save the date and the RSVP be separate forms?
Yes, when invitations go out by mail. The save the date collects addresses months ahead; the RSVP collects meals and guests once the menu is set. Each form has its own link and its own replies. If every invitation goes out by message instead of post, you can skip the save the date and send the RSVP early with the date in the intro.
Can I ask some guests different questions?
Duplicate your form once it's finished and send each copy to its own group, for example one copy with a plus-one question and one without. Each copy has its own link and its own replies. Other common splits are family invited to the rehearsal dinner and guests whose children are invited. Give every copy the same theme, so no guest notices a difference.
Do guests need an app or an account?
No. Guests open your link in the browser on a phone or a computer and reply. Only you need an account, and only when you save the form to keep it. That makes the same link work for grandparents and for friends abroad. Share it in your invitation email or the family group chat, or print it as a QR code on paper cards.
