Parent-teacher conference sign-up

Each family claims one 15-minute slot, and no slot gets double-booked.

What's inside

Every slot takes one family and then shows as full; parents who choose video are asked for an email, and the form closes once all eight slots are booked.

Booking conferences without the paper sheet

Send the link a week before conferences. Working parents grab the late slots first, so list those even if you'd rather finish early.

Leave a five-minute gap after every third slot. Conferences run over, and a buffer keeps the 4:30 family from waiting in the hall.

Read the topics the night before. A parent who writes reading level or friendships gets a prepared answer instead of a scramble.

Conference sign-up questions

How does it stop two families booking the same time?

Each slot has one place. Once a family takes 3:15, it shows as full for everyone else. When all eight are booked, the form closes. If a family later can't come, they message you as the thank-you text asks. Delete their booking from your responses, and the slot opens again for another family.

Can I offer slots on two days?

Yes. Add options like Thu 3:00 pm and Fri 8:00 am, each with one place, and raise the closing limit to the total number of slots. Eight slots a day over two days makes 16. Put both dates in the intro, since early morning slots suit parents who start work before the school day ends.

Can parents with two children book back to back?

Yes. They fill in the form twice, once per child, and pick neighboring slots. Each booking keeps the right student's name. If you prefer one longer meeting, ask them to say so in the topics box. Booking both slots also stops another family from landing in between the two.
